The "Hobbit" is a 7/8th size violin made to be a professional instrument, not intended for a student to "out grow." As any Hobbit would tell you, professionals come in all sizes, and their hearts and souls are just as big as anyone else. This violin feels small, is small, but definitely sounds big.
