Violins conceived in a dry climate, such as that in Albuquerque, NM, have an added benefit resulting from the weather. Because the wood is so dry when the instrument is glued together, I have never had an instrument crack due to weather conditions. “Yucca” is just such an instrument. Already its tone is bright, open, and seems to go on as far as the ear can hear — just like a New Mexico sky pictured on the inside.
